JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Feb. 6, 2013) - American Coolair Corp., a family-owned leading manufacturer of ventilation products, is celebrating its 85th anniversary.

The company was founded on October 29, 1928, by father and son team, James E. Graves Sr. and James E. Graves Jr., in Jacksonville, Fla.

"From the beginning this has been a family-run business," American Coolair President Harry Graves Jr. said. "It grew through the leadership of our great-grandfather, grandfather and father. Today, my brother, sister and I run the company using the lessons and wisdom they passed on to us."

American Coolair has grown from producing attic fans for local clients during the company's early years to offering comprehensive product lines for the world's agricultural, horticultural, commercial and industrial ventilation and golf industries today.

American Coolair began to grow and expand under the leadership of Harry Graves Sr. in the 1960s and 1970s. He consolidated the business, administrative and manufacturing departments at one location. He led the expansion of American Coolair's product line, moving into the agricultural and horticultural industries.

Harry Graves Sr. passed his knowledge on to his children, Harry Jr., Robert B. and Sara, who are the fourth Graves generation to lead the company. Today American Coolair is housed in a 210,000 square foot manufacturing complex on the west side of the Jacksonville.

To grow the business, American Coolair invested heavily in research and development and state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment to produce top-quality fans. Throughout its existence, American Coolair has continually sought new markets for its ventilations systems, mostly recently entering the golf course fans business in 2011.

Founded in 1928, American Coolair Corporation is a manufacturer of ventilation and evaporative cooling systems for the poultry, swine, dairy, greenhouse and golf industries.  American Coolair also produces axial, centrifugal, high temperature and mixed flow fans for commercial, industrial, and restaurant applications.
